What is Federal Tax Authority (FTA)?

The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) is the UAE government body that administers federal taxes, including VAT. Under the e-invoicing mandate, the FTA receives tax data from each e-invoice through Accredited Service Providers, in near real time, as the fifth corner of the exchange model.

Also known as: FTA, Federal Tax Authority

Why it matters for UAE e-invoicing

Policy for the e-invoicing system, including the accreditation of service providers, sits with the UAE Ministry of Finance. The FTA receives and uses the tax data that the system produces.

Businesses do not send invoices to the FTA themselves. Their Accredited Service Provider reports the required data automatically for every document. Ravera maintains a direct relationship with the FTA.
