UAE e-invoicing for utilities
Utilities that issue in-scope B2B and B2G invoices in the UAE must send them as PINT AE XML through an FTA-Accredited Service Provider. Ravera connects customer billing systems and ERPs through one REST API, handles recurring billing cycles with per-document validation, and reports every invoice to the FTA in near real time.
The challenge
Where e-invoicing gets harder
Recurring cycles at scale
Billing runs produce large numbers of invoices on a fixed schedule, every month.
Billing systems, not the ERP
Customer information and billing systems generate invoices, while finance runs elsewhere.
Government customers
Invoices to government entities follow the same exchange model, with government go-live on 1 October 2027.
How Ravera fits
The services that matter most
Issue & convert
Customer billing and ERP systems send invoice data to the same API.
Validate & sign
Every invoice in a run is checked before submission.
Exchange
Business and government customers receive invoices through their providers.
Report to the FTA
Each document is reported to the FTA automatically.
Residency, volume and structure
- Data residency
- Every document is archived for 7 years in UAE-domiciled storage.
- Volume
- Each invoice in a billing run is validated individually, so exceptions are isolated and the run completes.
- Multi-entity
- Utility groups with generation, distribution and services entities keep one provider and one API, with each invoice reported under the right tax registration.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can our customer billing system connect to Ravera directly?
Yes. Customer information and billing systems can send invoice data straight to Ravera’s REST API. Your IT team or integrator builds and owns the connection. Ravera maps the system during onboarding, then validates every invoice in each billing run, exchanges it over Peppol and reports it to the FTA.
How are invoices to government entities handled?
Invoices to government entities are exchanged the same way as B2B invoices: as PINT AE XML over Peppol, through Accredited Service Providers on both sides, with tax data reported to the FTA. Government entities go live on 1 October 2027. Ravera handles B2B and B2G invoices through the same API and the same process.
