What is DCTCE?

DCTCE (Decentralised Continuous Transaction Control and Exchange) is the name for the UAE e-invoicing model. Invoices are exchanged between businesses through Accredited Service Providers over Peppol, rather than through a central government platform, while tax data is reported to the FTA in near real time.

Also known as: Decentralised Continuous Transaction Control and Exchange

Why it matters for UAE e-invoicing

“Decentralised” refers to the exchange: no single government system sits between supplier and buyer. “Continuous transaction control” refers to the reporting: the FTA receives tax data as invoices are issued.

In practice DCTCE is implemented through the Peppol 5-corner model, in which the FTA is the fifth corner.
