What is Peppol?

Peppol is an international network and set of specifications for exchanging business documents such as invoices between organisations. Participants connect through certified Access Points, so a business can reach any other Peppol participant through a single connection. The UAE uses Peppol for e-invoice exchange.

Also known as: Peppol network

Why it matters for UAE e-invoicing

Peppol is governed by OpenPeppol, a non-profit association. Its specifications define both the document formats and the rules for how Access Points find and deliver to each other.

In the UAE, invoices travel over Peppol between Accredited Service Providers. Your provider sends your invoices to your buyer’s provider, and receives your suppliers’ invoices for you. Ravera exchanges invoices through its own Peppol Access Point.
