What is E-invoice?

Under the UAE mandate, an e-invoice is a structured invoice in PINT AE XML format, exchanged between businesses through Accredited Service Providers over the Peppol network. A PDF, a scanned document or an emailed image is not an e-invoice in this sense.

Why it matters for UAE e-invoicing

The difference matters because structured data can be validated, exchanged and reported automatically. A buyer’s ERP can read an e-invoice straight into accounts payable without re-keying.

A PDF may still be useful as a readable copy for your customer, but it does not meet the requirement on its own once your phase goes live.
